    Things To Do This Weekend: 24th – 26th February

    If you’re after some loud rock ‘n’ roll this Saturday night, get yourself over to Contemporary Cafe Bar for another of their excellent Saturday night gigs. This week sees Hull/Leeds sister duo Chambers, who have been making waves with their ‘sister doom’ stylings. Support come from Nottingham glam gang Diablo Furs, who never fail to impress with their trashy 70s punk performances, and 2-piece Minatore who thrash out groovy alternative rock reminiscent of 90s grunge.

    George’s is bringing back good and proper fish and chips and other British favourites with a difference. From the beach huts to the gin bar, it is all part of the journey that you’ll be taken on when you visit this city centre’s restaurant.

    We were invited to sample George’s famous fish and chips last week, and were really looking forward to it. Read on to find out what we thought about our recent visit.

    Kinga – It was my first time at George’s but I was told by my colleagues that I will really enjoy my visit, so the expectations were high.
