    City Centre Beach returns to Nottingham

    As I trundled into work on the tram yesterday, I got to Old Market Square and a flicker of excitement ran through me as I saw wooden bases being carefully laid out. Maybe I am that sad to be enthusiastic about such a thing, but those wooden bases meant that Nottingham Riviera, our own city centre beach was beginning to be laid.

    The Gedling Show – a perfect family day out

    The Gedling Show takes place this Sunday 4 September and is a great family fun day out with lots of events and things to do.

    The show starts at 11am with a Classic Car and Motorbike Show and over 60 cars and bikes booked for display with hopefully, a specialist scooter section too. There will be awards for the best on display, presented by the Mayor of Gedling at 4.15pm.

    You’ll also be able to register your dog for the Fun Dog Show which starts at 1.30pm with categories including Most Handsome Dog, Waggiest Tale and even Fancy Dress! It costs 50p to enter each category and all proceeds go to the Mayor’s
