Dating back a humongous 870 years, the site began as a Cistercian abbey, the remains of which are some of the best preserved in the country. In 1536 the monastery was dissolved and over the next five centuries the estate passed through the hands of the aristocracy with demolition, conversions and additions made to become the country house we know today.

    Calling all tennis fans! As the country gears up for another delightful Wimbledon season, Nottingham is proud to invite some of the world’s best tennis players to compete at the Aegon Open Nottingham 2017.

    For eight days in June Nottingham Tennis Centre will host a electrifying week of tennis, with internationally renowned players competing including Johanna Konta and Dan Evans.

    We’ve teamed up with the LTA to offer a pair of tickets to the penultimate day of match play at the WTA & ATP Semi-finals on Saturday 17th June. For more information on the Aegon Open and to book tickets, go to the Lawn Tennis Association webpage.
