    Lunch at Bread and Bitter

    Castle Rock Brewery is a Nottinghamshire institution, famed for its award-winning beers and fantastic pubs. With 14 pubs across the county, and many more serving its locally made beers and ales, there are plenty of opportunities to sample their top tipples. We were recently invited to try some of the food at one of their pubs, the Bread and Bitter, where we were pleased to learn that this real ale pub is as much about the food as it is about the beer.

    Lunch at the Adam’s Restaurant

    In the heart of Nottingham’s Lace Market you’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to eateries and places to hang out. It’s also a hub for shops, private companies and students attending the local college. Standing out from the sea of buildings is the historic Adam’s Building, in the past the lace headquarter and now a hub for education.  The building is the largest and finest example of a Victorian lace warehouse to survive in the country, and is one of Nottingham’s finest treasures.

    Burger delights at Griddle & Shake Nottingham

    Griddle & Shake offers a burger and shake experience like no other. With a range of burgers including beef, chicken, and pulled pork (along with one of the UK’s first vegan tempeh burger) there are also unlimited toppings and sauces as well as sides.

    Join a fun, free and interactive workshop that will explore the theme of women, the law and democracy. Learn more about Elizabeth Fry and the prison system, explore interesting museum objects relating to women and the law, and discuss and debate contemporary inequality issues.
